When Will The 2024 For Ranger Be Available

2024 Ford Ranger Release Date and Availability

After facing several production delays, the all-new 2024 Ford Ranger is finally nearing its release date for the U.S. market. According to the latest information from Ford, the redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger is anticipated to arrive at dealerships by late 2023 or early 2024.

The initial plan was for the 2024 Ranger to hit showrooms by late summer 2023, but supply chain constraints and a United Auto Workers (UAW) strike at the Michigan Assembly Plant caused significant setbacks in production.

Ford had to push back the start of Ranger production multiple times, leading to the current expected availability timeline of late 2023 or early 2024.

While the delays have been frustrating for eager customers with existing orders, the good news is that Ford has been gradually ramping up Ranger production in recent months.

In January 2024, the company built 2,644 units of the new Ranger, a significant 558% increase from the previous month. This ramp-up should help Ford meet the pent-up demand once the truck finally hits dealerships.

What’s New with the 2024 Ford Ranger?

The 2024 model year brings a complete redesign for the Ford Ranger, with updates to the exterior styling, interior features, and powertrain options. Here are some of the key highlights:

  • Bold new exterior design with a larger grille, C-clamp headlights, and a stamped “RANGER” tailgate
  • Updated interior with a large touchscreen infotainment system (10.1 or 12 inches) and digital instrument cluster
  • New 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine option producing 315 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque
  • Introduction of the high-performance Ranger Raptor trim with a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 making 405 hp
  • Improved off-road capabilities with a wider track, upgraded suspension, and electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4 system

With its rugged new design, powerful engine choices, and enhanced technology features, the 2024 Ford Ranger is shaping up to be a compelling option in the highly competitive midsize truck segment.

While pricing details are still forthcoming, the 2024 Ranger is expected to start around $32,000 for the base XL trim, with the range-topping Raptor model likely exceeding $55,000.

Customers can choose from XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor trim levels to find the perfect blend of capability and features.
